Description

This is a commission report of its investigation into the quality of mental health services provided to a patient discharged from a psychiatric hospital, following which he allegedly pushed the young woman to her death in front of an oncoming subway train in New York City. The report makes recommendations for improving the care provided to individuals who are seriously and persistently mentally ill and whose histories include behaviors that are dangerous to themselves and others.
